Purpose and Goals
The purpose of this project is to learn about turtle behavior and if the weather and time of day affects their behavior.
Project Summary
In our project we will be observing turtle behavior. We are looking for turtles in bodies of water around the Lincoln Park area. It is easier to find turtles around logs and fallen trees in the water for basking spots especially if that log or fallen tree has a lot of vegetation around it.From the research that we have completed, we’ve found out that turtles prefer to bask on warmer days.

Hypotheses

On hot/sunny days we will see more turtles basking on logs.

On colder days we will see turtles swimming in the ponds.
