This project can be done in areas containing bodies of water, such as small ponds, bogs, large lakes, and rivers.

Our group has done our project around the Lincoln Park area, we chose these areas below

North Pond: This pond is man made and has a lot of fallen trees, which the turtles use to bask on.  There is a lot of native prairie gardens that have a lot of different animals that try to prey on turtles.

Lily Pool: There is a lot of macrophytes, the size is comparable to a basketball court, and it has the most human activity.  This place surrounded by a lot of trees and the pool is held together by stone structure.

South Pond: This pond is also man made, but there is a lot less areas for basking.  There are a lot more turtles swimming in the pond.
